The SB-5588CT is a high performance, professional 8 input and 8 output Component Video + Digital and Analog Audio Matrix Switcher and Extender over CAT5 with RS-232 and Ethernet. It is capable of switching Component Video, Digital Coaxial (S/PDIF) and Stereo Analog (R/L) Audio signals between 8 sources and then extend the signal over CAT5 to up to 8 displays. Also supports one 1 set of Component RCA and Digital/Analog Audio for a local monitor or troubleshooting. This output is the same signal as channel 1 Output. A maximum bandwidth of 325MHz will support a sharp and highly defined video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p. Because it is a matrix switcher, it allows any input to be routed to any output, or the same input to be routed to all outputs, or any combination. RS-232 control allows the switcher to be controlled by a computerized system such as Hyper Terminal, eliminating the need to use an infrared remote control. Compatible with all devices that have Component Video and Digital or Analog audio connections, such as cable/satellite receivers, computers, video scalers, DVD players, VCR's, camcorders, video game consoles, etc. 3 different receiver packages are sold separately to support all 8 channels.
